FAQ
Claude and ChatGPT connector
Check topic queues, add topics and write drafts from a chat. Approving and publishing stay with you in ContentPilot.
What is the Claude and ChatGPT connector?
A way to use ContentPilot from inside Claude or ChatGPT. Ask how your clients' topic queues look, add topic ideas, or have it write drafts, all in a chat. Anything it writes waits in ContentPilot for review.
How do I connect it?
Copy the address https://ctpilot.com/api/mcp from your Account page. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste it. In ChatGPT, add it as a custom MCP connector. That depends on your ChatGPT plan, so check OpenAI's current steps. Then sign in with your ContentPilot login and choose what it may do.
What can it do, and what can it never do?
It can always see your clients, topic queues, post status and credit use. If you allow it, it can add topics to a client's queue and write drafts. It can never approve, schedule or publish a post, or email a client. Those stay with you in ContentPilot.
Does it cost credits?
Only writing drafts does, at the same rates as the app: 10 credits for the article, 2 for each platform caption, and 5 for the image if that client has auto images on. Reading and adding topics is free. Writing drafts stays off unless you tick it when you connect.
Is my data safe? Who can it see?
It signs in as you, so it sees only your own ContentPilot account, and only what you allowed. It never gets your ContentPilot password. What it reads from ContentPilot is passed to Claude or ChatGPT so it can answer you, under their privacy terms.
How do I disconnect?
Go to your Account page and press Disconnect next to the assistant under Connected assistants. It loses access straight away. You can also remove the connector inside Claude or ChatGPT.
