Facebook and Instagram

An Instagram post scheduler that does Facebook too

Write once, approve once, and ContentPilot posts to your Instagram account and your Facebook Page at the times you choose. Each caption is drafted for its own platform, so neither one reads like a copy of the other.

What you get

Two platforms, one routine

A caption for each

Instagram gets a warmer, longer caption with its hashtags at the end. Facebook gets a more conversational post with a few hashtags. No links in either, because they do not work there.

Carousels and Stories

Use your own photos or have them made in your style. Add up to 10 for an Instagram carousel and a Facebook multi-photo post, or send the post as a Story.

Your times, your time zone

Pick a date and time per platform or one for both. ContentPilot checks for due posts every minute.

Retry when something breaks

If Facebook refuses a post, you see why and can retry it in one click once it is fixed.

Likes and comments

Results are read back at 24 hours, 7 days and 28 days, on the post and on each client’s results page.

For you or your clients

Connect your own accounts, or email a client a link so they connect theirs without sharing a password.

Scheduling

Approve, pick a time, done

Once a post is approved, the Schedule card appears. Choose the date and time for each platform, or tick Use the same time for every platform, and press Schedule post.

FAQ

Questions

What kind of Instagram account do I need?

A Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page. Instagram does not let apps post to personal accounts. You can switch for free in the Instagram app settings.

Can I schedule to Facebook and Instagram at the same time?

Yes. Use the same time for every platform, or give each its own time. Times are in your business’s time zone.

Does every Instagram post need a picture?

Yes, Instagram requires one. Upload your own photo or have ContentPilot make an image. Facebook posts can go out with or without a picture.

Can it post Reels, Stories or carousels?

Carousels and photo Stories, yes. A post can have up to 10 images: a carousel on Instagram and a multi-photo post on a Facebook Page. Reels and video, not today.

What happens if a post fails?

The post shows as failed with the reason, and you can press Retry to put it back in the queue. A common cause is a Facebook connection that needs reconnecting.

Can I see likes and comments?

Yes. ContentPilot reads results 24 hours, 7 days and 28 days after a post goes out: likes and comments on Instagram, and reactions and shares on Facebook where Facebook allows it.
